Meet the Founder: Dr. David Chinsky

Drawing on more than 30 years of success in leadership and management, Dr. David Chinsky has been in high demand to mentor, train, and coach over 6,000 leaders, managers and owners of companies. As popularity of his Fit Leader’s Program continues to widen, the Institute for Leadership Fitness is poised to attain its goal to train 10,000 Fit Leaders.

David Chinsky is an executive coach and leadership advisor who has delivered professional coaching and leadership development workshops to over 300 companies and organizations. He brings his unique insights into leadership, change management and teamwork to a diversified group of individuals and teams.

Dr. Chinsky is the Founder of the Institute for Leadership Fitness; author of The Fit Leader’s Companion and Lifelines for Leaders; and creator of the Fit Leader’s Program™ and Fit Leaders Academy, leadership development experiences that prepare high potential leaders for careers marked by personal health and sustained contribution.

The foundation for his work arose from the insights he gained during his own executive experience that cuts across all aspects of organizational life: from product development to customer service; from operations to human resources. For over a quarter century he played a role in the inner workings at companies that include Trinity Health, Ford Motor Company, Nestle and Thomson Reuters.

Working side by side with senior leaders, Dr. Chinsky moves them toward their highest level of professional effectiveness and leadership fitness. More importantly, they learn how to make their contributions sustainable, and then spread those traits to those they influence.

Susan Combs

Susan brings more than 18 years of experience developing high-impact programs in the business and non-profit arenas. Susan spent several years at the Michigan Chamber of Commerce where she transformed the Leadership Michigan program working with over 100 leaders.

Based in Lansing, Michigan, Susan has a Bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Ohio and an MBA from Western Michigan University. Susan received her coach training from the Coaches Training Institute and holds the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation.

Ross Woodstock

Ross brings nearly four decades of experience in management and consulting.  Prior to joining Kolt Communications in 2003, Ross had a distinguished 27-year career in radio and television, including ten years as president and general manager of WLNS-TV, which is the CBS affiliate in Lansing, Michigan.

Based in Okemos, Michigan, Ross has a master’s degree in Management and Administrative Services from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a bachelor’s degree in Management of Human Resources from Spring Arbor College. Ross also holds the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation.

Brad Livingston

Brad is an experienced executive with a history of leading in large, complex organizational settings. Brad served as the Executive Director of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice from November 2004 to August 2016. He led the operations of one of the largest governmental organizations in the world, with 38,000 employees and more than 100 correctional facilities statewide.

Based in Huntsville, Texas, Brad has a master’s degree in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas – Austin.  Brad is a guest lecturer and mentor in the Executive Master’s Leadership program at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, and serves as an instructor for the National Institute of Corrections (NIC) Executive Excellence program.

Re’Shane Lonzo

Re’Shane brings more than 22 years of experience as an instructor, and 27 years as a leading African-American entrepreneur. In 1995, after recognizing a need for more healthcare and construction career training, Re’Shane co-founded DRM International Learning Center where she now also serves as co-CEO.

Based in Lansing, Michigan, and born in Detroit, Re’Shane has an MBA from Northwood University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Sociology from Michigan State University.  Re’Shane also has received certifications in Course Development & Management, and in Online Instruction.  Re’Shane is presently working on her Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership.

Marseille Allen

Marseille Allen brings a wealth of professional expertise in political advising and community advocacy. With an impressive career spanning almost 15 years as a probation agent with the Michigan Department of Corrections, Marseille’s grassroots work garnered recognition that led to a prestigious presidential appointment to the U.S. Department of Labor.

Based in Detroit, Michigan, Marseille holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from Wayne State University and is a graduate of Wellesley College. She is Lean Six Sigma certified and currently serves as Partnerships Manager at The University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability. Marseille also is the founding principal at The Fairfield Group.
